Amazon Sustainability

The Amazon Sustainability project involved a complete redesign and redevelopment of Amazon’s sustainability website, a key initiative showcasing the company’s environmental commitments and progress. This comprehensive effort included UX design and strategy, UI design, motion and animation design, copy strategy and creation, and both frontend and backend development.

Built on Adobe Experience Manager, the website leverages a component-driven approach to provide flexibility and reusability across pages and content. This architecture enables an efficient and intuitive content authoring experience, empowering Amazon’s teams to create and manage content seamlessly.

In my role as Group Technical Director, my involvement was primarily at a strategic and oversight level. I served as the internal executive sponsor, supporting both the Monks team and Amazon with guidance on larger topics and strategies as needed. I also acted as the technical escalation point, ensuring challenges were resolved efficiently while maintaining the integrity of the project’s goals.

Additionally, I provided mentorship and support to the development team, helping them navigate technical and process-related complexities. This approach ensured the successful delivery of a flexible and impactful platform aligned with Amazon’s sustainability messaging and goals.
