Nike - Win on Air
The Nike Win On Air campaign celebrates the next generation of Nike Air, designed to fuel wins on every track, court, and pitch. Featuring innovations like Air Zoom units for exceptional energy return, the campaign highlights how these products are engineered to elevate the performance of championship athletes.
Monks collaborated with Nike Global to create an interactive homepage overlay and an in-app experience for Nike.com and the Nike App. This showcased the Win On Air product lineup, complete with personal quotes and stories from global athletes, detailing how the innovative designs enhance their performance.
Built using the same technical foundation as the “Winning Isn’t for Everyone” project, the experience leveraged a NextJS framework for a statically generated frontend, DatoCMS for content management, and Nike’s Akamai CDN to ensure fast global delivery. The serverless architecture used AWS S3 for static storage and integrated seamlessly with Nike’s existing systems, allowing the platform to handle millions of users during peak campaign traffic.
As the Global Technical Director, I led technical implementation and collaborated closely with Nike Global's technology, product, and marketing teams. My efforts to optimize the infrastructure and leverage Nike’s CDN resulted in significant cost savings and ensured a high-performing, high-availability experience praised by Nike’s senior leadership.
